Before You Depart
(1 day before or upon arrival)
- Open: Settings -> Cellular -> Add eSIM -> Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code received from Jucycell with your camera.
4. If prompted, use the provided PIN code* to unlock your eSIM.
5. Label your new eSIM (e.g., "Travel").
eSIM Configuration
- Default Line: Select Primary to keep using your personal number for calls and messages.
- iMessage and FaceTime: Choose Primary to continue using your main number.
- Cellular Data: Choose Travel to use this line for mobile data while abroad.
- Allow Mobile Data Switching: Keep this turned off to avoid roaming charges.
- Turn off the Travel eSIM line (enabled by default after activation).
While Abroad
(upon arrival)- Open: Settings -> Cellular -> tap on your Travel eSIM
- Turn On the line.
- Enable the Data Roaming toggle.
- You’re all set!
After Your Journey
(once you're back home)
- Open Settings -> Cellular -> tap on your Travel eSIM
- Turn off the line and Delete the eSIM
- Ensure your Primary line is On
- For Cellular Data, select the Primary line
*PIN Code: Your eSIM activation QR code includes a PIN code for unlocking the eSIM during setup. If you enter the PIN incorrectly three times and get locked out, use the PUK code to regain access.
**Network: Seeing different operators during activation (or while traveling) is normal as your eSIM connects to various networks. Simply continue following the prompts as usual to complete the setup.
